The Rocky Mountain Ride

After “The Dump Ground”, we stayed at a place that offered horse back rides. We decided to ride. The thing is, it wasn’t at the camp ground. So dad drove us up to the place (which happened to be in the Rocky Mountains) and we got ready to go. My horse was named Oreo, Sveta’s horse was named Pegasus, and Mom’s horse was named Dollar. Our trail guide was named Katie, and her horse was named Atlas. We set out with Mom in the lead. Katie rode beside us, Sveta and Pegasus were second, and Oreo and I were in the back. We started an up hill climb, then we started to go down. The next area was a stream. The next part was plain up. Soon, we where looking down on the rest of the town, and riding on the edge and very top of one of the ridges. We saw our RV and Daisy, and dad and the corral where they keep the horses. Soon, it was time to go down ‘cause everything that goes up comes down. At first, it was nice and not too steep, but then it was at a 60 degree angle, and our horses were tired and didn’t want to go much farther, but if they went they would be home. When we reached the forest, Katie told us that the horses would rush to get home, so we should try to get the horses to stay at a walk. For Dollar, he just wanted to get home, but the rest were good about it. Dad stayed in the RV with Daisy dog and Daisy was out of her mind when we got in. We said good-bye to the horses, got a picture or two with them, and left, thanking Katie for the wonderful ride we had. We saw lots of animals, and some of them were acting pretty funny. There was a squirrel and he was running around in circles and had a nut in his hands. We saw lots of birds that were chasing each other. There were many more, but I don’t have time to explain them all. Hope you like my message! Please leave a comment!

If Dollar really wanted to get home then all I can picture is your Mom holding on while Dollar hurried home! Ha, ha, that makes me laugh! Your Mommy is very brave because I would have been waving with Daisy.........:) Love hearing about your trip and bring home a baby goat!!

Love to you all!!
